Abstract |
This work proposes a highly efficient charge-pump IC for biomedical applications. The charge pump IC consists of a four-stage complementary charge transfer switch core which is used to generate a high output voltage of 15 V from an input of 3.2 V. The circuit also utilizes the input voltage modulation technique to regulate the output voltage while supporting a maximum load current up to 5 mA. The implemented circuit achieves a measured power efficiency of 88.3% and output voltage ripple of 1% at maximum current load condition. The overall circuit is implemented using 180 nm CMOS technology and occupies an area of 0.98 mm². |
